ADAM'S PICKS:

CD's:

Miles Davis - Kind of Blue, and most anything else he has recorded. My favorite era of Miles is early to mid-'60s. What i love so much about "kind of blue" is that he basically assembled these incredible musicians for a brief jam session, and they did a few takes of each song, often using the first take for the album. Each solo has so much life and is so melodic that is sounds written, not improvised. In this respect, Mr. Davis has taught me how to solo with my instrument.

Radiohead - OK Computer. This album is incredible. Enough said.

Over the Rhine - Good Dog Bad Dog. The richest most mature album i've ever heard.

Sting - anything he has recorded

Morrissey - interesting guy...

U2 - anything. i'm not one of those "oh, i used to like them when they played like this..." kinda guys. i would say my favorite albums are Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree, and All That You Can't Leave Behind.

Ani Difranco - i own most of her CDs, and although i don't always agree with her politics or views on life, she is unmatched in her passionate performance.

Phil Keaggy - one of the best guitar players in the world. he whoops my butt.
